Class Description

The hour begins with a brief warm up followed by a challenging upper body workout. Before you know it, your heart is pumping and you're moving into a rigorous series of thigh-burning, butt-lifting exercises. Then it is to the floor to chisel your abs, strengthen your back, and wake up your core. Stretches are strategically integrated into the class between the strengthening exercises providing a stimulating flow and an interval training effect for quick fat burning, and strong, supple muscle results. Class concludes with a series of deep, focused stretches.

Class Levels and Variations

Basic: This is the method stripped down to the bone. It offers anyone, regardless of fitness level, the opportunity to develop body awareness, an understanding of proper body alignment and balance, while building the strength to move to the next level. Special needs are taken into consideration and modifications are advised when necessary. We recommend taking at least 6-8 classes before advancing to the next level.

Mixed: Less talking, more moving, the mixed level class moves at a more rapid pace than the basic level class. Modifications are offered for beginners and advanced options are given for those who are looking to challenge their workout.

Advanced: Less explanation and faster pace than a mixed level class. The class is designed for those who have a full understanding of the BodyQuest method. A minimum of 6-8 mixed level classes is required to participate...NO EXCEPTIONS.

CardioQuest: The 35-minute "what-just-happened-to-me" workout. This is BodyQuest on speed. The whole class is cut down in size but not in challenge. Sweat, burn, and have a blast in the quickest, most effective workout of its kind!

BMR (BodyQuest Metabolic Rev.) The premise of this class is to increase lean muscle mass and raise your resting metabolic rate. It is a well-researched fact that the most efficient method for gaining lean muscle is through strength training with slow, controlled movements using heavier weight. Contrary to the old wive's tale of heavy weight producing bulky muscle, taking a muscle through a full range of motion in a very deliberate, focused movement is the number one way to increase lean muscle mass and speed up your metabolism, thus burning fat. With that said...BodyQuest's BMR class is the perfect balance of strength and endurance with stretching and elongating the essential muscles of your body utilizing deep mental focus.
